Collaboration with Collections
Complex, multi-thread email conversations happen all the time at work.
For example, when we applied for employee life insurance, we ended up with 63 emails over 7 different threads. Have you tried sharing dozens of emails across multiple threads with co-workers? Or attempted to hand off an email-based project to another team? It’s borderline impossible, and legitimately painful.
HEY fixes this by letting you add multiple threads to a single Collection — automatically organizing the entire conversation on one page. Collaborate by sharing the Collection with someone else on your HEY for Domains account instantly grants them access to everything without forwarding, cc’ing, or ruining their day. It’s a revelation in sharing, reading, and working together.
To add an email to a Collection:
- Select an email by clicking the circle icon
- Click Collection from the pop-up menu
- Pick an existing Collection or create a new one
To share a Collection with other users on your HEY for Domains account:
- Click the HEY menu
- Click the Collection you're looking to share
- Click the Options menu "•••" located at the bottom
- Click Share with...
- Type in the name of people you'd like to share the collection with and share an optional message
- Click the Share this thread button
Can I add a Note to a Collection?
Yes! No need to send the people you're collaborating with in a Collection an email — just leave a Note📝:
- Click the Options menu "•••" located at the bottom on the Collection
- Click Add a note
- Enter your note and click the Post Note button
How can I delete a collection?
- Click the HEY menu
- Click the Collection you're looking to delete
- Click the Options menu "•••" located at the bottom on the Collection
- Click Add a note
