Link up multiple accounts

Have multiple HEY.com or HEY for Domains accounts? Link them so you can view all your emails in one place.

Here’s how to get that set up:

  1. Head over to your Accounts & Settings page by clicking your Avatar
  2. Click the + Link Another Account option

🗒️ NOTE: For most folks, you'll see only one choice. But if you’re linking an already-linked account, we’ll list all the addresses from that arrangement so you can choose the one you want.

  1. Click Link this. This might take a minute, so you may see a loading screen while the process completes. Just hang out a minute. When it’s done, we’ll tell you right there.

That’s it! Now when you go back to your Imbox, you’ll see emails from both accounts, plus the new account-switching options in the Account menu.

To help you differentiate personal emails from work emails at a glance, HEY will display a ▲ next to emails from your personal HEY account, and a ◼️ next to emails from your work account. If you’re linking accounts of the same type (two work or two personal, for example), you won’t see the shapes.

And not only can you view all email at once, but you can also just see email from one of your accounts at a time. To do that, just select the account from the menu and it’ll only show you email from that account. It’s perfect if you wanted to just focus in on work emails, for example.

🗒️ NOTE: After you link an account, you’ll log into HEY using the credentials of the originating account. The password and 2FA for the account that was linked will no longer work.

Using our example above, after linking bobbo@company.com from the bobbo@hey.com account, you’ll log in using the password and 2FA set for bobbo@hey.com. This is because bobbo@company.com was linked while logged into the bobbo@hey.com account.

And that’s that. We hope you find linked accounts useful — we surely do.
