Labels

Labels are similar to folders. Labels let you tag a specific thread so it’s loosely grouped with other threads you’ve also tagged with that label.

Add a Label to one or more emails

You can add a label to any email from any view (Imbox, Paper Trail, or contact). Click or tap the sender icon, then click the 'Label' button from the pop-up menu:

Automatically Add Labels to a Contact

You can assign a label (or autofile) to be added to all new emails from a contact. You'll find that option on their contact page, underneath the address.

Applying a label to a contact will label only new conversations. You can bulk-select old ones to add the label to them.

Auto-file emails with Label address

You can add on to your HEY email address to create a label address. First add a plus, then add the label name so it looks like this: yourheyaddress+label@hey.com

HEY will automatically label incoming emails sent to that label address, as long as the label is one word and already exists in your account. The emails also need to come from screened-in contacts to be automatically labeled.

Label Options

Rename or delete a Label from the Options menu at the top right of the Label's page.
