Forwarding

In HEY, you can set emails to forward in from external addresses. You can also set it so your HEY emails forward out to an external address.

Forwarding emails into HEY

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner
  2. Click the account/address you'll be forwarding to

  1. Click Forwarding & Sending

  1. Click the + Connect an Address button and follow the directions to set up forwarding and sending from your external address

  1. Enable forwarding in your external email provider if you're forwarding from Gmail/Google accounts or iCloud/Apple accounts.

NOTE 🗒️: When replying to emails forwarded in from an external address, you can choose to reply from your HEY address or any address you've set up to send as an outside address with SMTP.

Forwarding emails out of HEY

  1. Head to app.hey.com/accounts
  2. Choose your account
  3. Click Forwarding & Sending
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click the Forward email out of HEY… link
  5. Enter the address you want your HEY emails forwarded to
  6. Click the Start forwarding button

NOTE 🗒️: Forwarding ignores the Screener, so all non-spam email goes straight to the address you’ve set. Emails flagged as spam by HEY will not be forwarded. You'll find those in your spam box.
