Remove A User

To remove a user from your HEY for Domain account:

  1. Click your avatar to access the Account page
  2. Click your HEY for Domains account
  3. Click the People & Permissions option

  1. Click the 'trash' icon located to the right of the user you're deleting

Once a user is removed, that email address can be re-used, but the removal of the user cannot be un-done.

All of the emails from the deleted user will be preserved in account exports. You won't see any of their emails in your HEY account unless they've been shared with you before you remove the user. All their emails in the export will be attributed to a removed user.

💡 TIP: If you don't want to create a new user for the address of the deleted user, but you still want to receive any incoming email to the address, create an extension for that address — this would effectively retire the old email address without breaking it.
